ABOUT JOHARI

A more personal way to find your gown

A bridal experience, thoughtfully made

✦

Johari Gowns was created to bring a personal and memorable bridal experience closer to home. We want brides to have a beautiful place where they can feel comfortable, celebrated, and cared for while finding a gown for one of the biggest days of their lives.

Inspired by the beauty and warmth of Swahili culture, Johari Gowns brings a subtle Swahili influence into the boutique — from our name and atmosphere to the welcoming experience we hope every bride feels when she walks through our doors.

JOHARI

“Johari” means “precious gem” in Swahili, and we believe every bride deserves to feel like one.

We can't wait to welcome you.

01The collection

Four silhouettes, one philosophy: fit before flourish.

Every gown below is a starting point, not a finished decision — our team adjusts neckline, sleeve, and train once we've met you.

03About Us

Johari Gowns started because dress shopping had stopped feeling personal.

"We wanted a room where the appointment felt like the point — not the queue to get one."

We opened in a single fitting room above a flower shop, with twelve gowns and no showroom to speak of. Twenty years later we still keep the atelier small on purpose: one bride, one stylist, no double-booked slots.

Every gown is hand-selected from independent ateliers in Europe, then altered in-house by a team that treats a hemline the way a tailor treats a suit — as something worth doing slowly.
